Introduction

A CASPA application can only be submitted once all sections are complete. You can submit your application before CASPA receives your transcripts or references (though you will have to add contact information for your references before submission).
Verification does not begin until CASPA receives all required documents. Applications are verified chronologically based on their œcomplete date. CASPA averages a turnaround time of two weeks for verification of an application. However, during the busiest periods, this can take up to four weeks.
You can, and should, do this immediately upon creating a CASPA account after listing your schools in the œColleges Attended section. Transcripts may take days or weeks to be received by CASPA after you make your request to a school. Transcripts must be sent directly from the college registrars office to CASPA, and cannot be forwarded by you.
CASPA does not request transcripts, even for those who opt for the professional transcription entry service. All applicants must request their transcripts through the normal channels, or their applications will not move forward.

Can I submit my CASPA application before my transcripts are complete?

Check unofficial transcript to ensure grades for any recently completed courses have been recorded and awarded status is current. Once the transcript request has been processed, a notification will be sent to your myBCIT email account. For the safety of our students and staff, in-person service has been temporarily suspended.
We are not currently using third party companies such as National Student Clearing House, Parchment, Credential Solutions, or MyCreds. If you are applying to an institution that requires electronic transcript to be submitted through a third party company, please request a physical copy of your transcript to be mailed.

How do I get a copy of my Georgian transcript?

When submitting your transcript request please be sure to use your Georgian College student email address if you are a current student or a recent graduate. Student emails are active for approximately one year from the date you last attended Georgian.
If you need official transcripts, visit the Request a Transcript page on the student portal and submit the online form. You might need official transcripts to apply to an accrediting body, to provide proof of graduation to an employer, or for other reasons.
Individuals who are unable to place a transcript request online may submit a transcript request and payment via mail. Please note that requests received by mail will have an increased processing time. Current or former UGA students should complete the UGA Student Transcript Request Form .
Current and former UGA students can order official transcripts online. Official transcripts are $8.00 each. Transcripts will not be issued for students who have an outstanding balance or unfulfilled obligation to the University. Five business days is the processing time per request.

The truth is that even if your grades arent great, you need a transcript. Even a single transfer credit can help expedite your graduation. Perhaps more importantly, most schools require you to submit all relevant transcripts. It may even be an honor code violation to exclude a school.

There are 2 ways to check your application status online. This online tool is updated daily. You can create a secure IRCC online account and link it to your existing application. The CASPA application goes through several phases – submitted, received, completed, and verified. Because these terms can all sound conclusive, often students believe their application has been finalized when, in fact, it has not. So, lets get clear on what each phase means.

What does it mean when my CASPA application is verified?

Until everything (and I mean everything) is complete, received, and verified, CASPA will not send you application to schools. There is a deadline for CASPA to have everything, but some of the schools to which you apply may have different deadlines, so dont rely on the CASPA deadline “ check with you schools of choice.

Keep an experience tally After submitting to CASPA, most applicants continue their patient care or volunteer roles, gaining additional hours of experience between the time of applying and (hopefully) a PA school interview.
CASPA is just the messenger. Beyond recalculating your GPA from transcripts, they dont fact-check your CASPA Application “ they just make sure that nothing is missing before they send it to schools. They wont notify you if something is missing, so you need to keep checking (online or by phone) until everything is complete.

Both the first time the course is taken, and the repeated time need to be reported in the transcript entry section. Regarding this, CASPA website states that œcourses should only be marked as repeated if you repeated them at the same institution (i.e., you retook the course for a higher grade).
